Fjords
Fjords began along with the friendship of Jonathan Davies and Tyler Taormina and their shared love for experimental music. They came up with a name and booked a show (at a Western Massachusetts venue since obliterated by tornado) before their first practice. They went on to create many sounds.
April Fjords
This is our second release. All of these songs were improv takes with minimal dubbing. It was recorded on April Fools day hence the name. Jon does not actually play the Violin aside from IX.
The Slow Death of Allison Archer
This is our first release. We had written these songs in the Emerson dorms. The neighbors actually complained many times saying “it sounds like a leaf blower is going off in there.” It was recorded in Jon’s living room. The recordings have many overdubs. This release was supposed to be a three parter but the third got lost in fjordspace. They debuted this album at an art gallery called Pangaea in western Massachusetts. This art gallery was later destroyed by a tornado.
